コンピューターサイエンス "Hour of Code"
学院小学校の4～6年生が、"Hour of Code"に参加しました。
これはコンピューターサイエンス入門として1時間のコーディング（プログラミング）にチャレンジする、180以上の国や地域で一斉に行われる世界規模のイベントです。
横須賀学院小学校では、4月から英語科の授業の中で、この「コンピューターサイエンス」を英語で学んできました。
12月9日から13日まで、4年生以上のすべての児童がこのイベントに参加しました。

以下、今回の"Hour of Code"を主催した英語科のウィルソン先生による報告です。
We did it!
Yokosuka Gakuin Elementary School 4th – 6th grade students all participated in this years, “Hour of Code” campaign.
“Hour of Code”, is a worldwide campaign designed to promote computer science through coding. “Hour of Code” is spearheaded by the non-profit company, CODE.ORG, whose mission is to provide free resources for all students.
Since April, our students have been learning the importance of Computer Science during their English lessons. This week students were able to put their skills and knowledge to the test and “code” in English during their lessons, as well as two after school special events. Students learned how to persevere through difficult tasks and complete challenging levels.
Yokosuka Gakuin Elementary students eagerly awaits joining next year’s, “Hour of Code”.
